5 weeks pregnant with Twins?

Hi ,
I went to have IUI and Iam 5 weeks pregnant with twins…Iam happy abt the fact Iam pregnant but we would like to abort the other thinking of the complications involved.Is it possible and is it advisable?

I don’t think a doctor with an morals is going to abort one twin when there is nothing wrong with the pregnancy. Why should one die?
It would depend on the type of twins you are having. Identical twins are sharing the same amniotic sac. Fraternal twins are from two separate eggs so they have separate sacs. How do you pick which one to abort?

edit: and also by the look of your past questions you have had trouble getting pregnant so why dont your start to enjoy being pregnant with twins.
Why would you want to get an abortion???? I know MANY ppl who have had multiples and been just fine!!!! Abortion is a selfish act, you should be happy to be blessed with 2 precious angels!!!!
thats a highly irresponsible thing to do… keep the babies.. u shud be happy that u r having two kids…choosing one over the other means u r trying to play God and I wish u wudnt do that!
why would you want to get abort one don’t matter the complication not all women are the same a real mother will stick to it sand wont care about the complication as long as her babies are fine

why would you want to abort one baby? twins are a blessing you should be glad your having 2 babies theres loads of woman who would love to have twins. there are loads of woman who have had twins and have had no complications

It may be possible. Even if they are dizygotic twins in two different sacs, how would you decide who to terminate. And are you going to tell the other twin what happened when he/she grows up?
If you live in a city with a hospital, you would do okay. Just let your doctor/OB know that you have a twin. They and you would be ready in case there is preterm labor, although the chances are not that high anyway.
All my friends and acquaintances who have had twins have not had any complication at delivery. Have some faith in yourself and the doctors.
Considering that you have been going for fertility treatment, I guess the finances are not an issue. Besides, you probably already felt the toils and frustration of trying to conceive.
I hope you decide to keep the twins.
As a mother of healthy, full term twins this question is highly offensive but there are people who think like this. If this was a real question I’d tell you that most doctors will not try to reduce the number of fetus’ unless you have more than four in there. Twins do not pose that much of a risk to the mother or each other, high order multiples do. Also, with a reduction in the number of fetus’, you run the risk of losing all of them and not just one.
But I’m not to concerned because you are a big hairy troll. Go annoy people elsewhere.
